This novel study appeals to boys, especially. This is a gruesome look at World War II from a semi-Nazi perspective. Originally used as part of a World War II Literature Circle, the novel became a class favorite that was quickly passed from student to student long before the presentations began!!

After teaching seventh and eighth grade Language Arts at a private school, I found it necessary to stay home with my children. Not yet ready to return to the classroom, but aching to stay atop trends in the field, I began volunteering at our local Alternative High School. I loved working with the students one-on-one and individualizing instruction. I was soon offered a position to help begin a preschool developing a classroom for 3 and 4 year olds. Through this, I am beginning to fully understand how important patience and finding ways to motivate and challenge students can be in impacting student learning!
