Sometimes I Feel Green is a social narrative which introduces and explains the concept of behavioral escalation to students, based uponThe Incredible 5-Point Scale, a strategy created by Kari Dunn Buron and Mitzi Beth Curtis. This short story, which includes a number of visual supports, breaks down and presents concepts to students to help them become better able to recognize, identify and manage their emotions. Coping strategies for appropriately managing strong emotions are also introduced within the text. Sometimes I Feel Green can be used as a part of a plan for implementing IEP goals targeting emotional regulation or included as a proactive strategy in a behavior support plan for teaching prosocial replacement behaviors. While the content area is highly relevant within most special education classrooms, the material it covers makes it valuable resource within the general education setting as well.

Thank you for getting back to me. I have to admit, I have been a bit like a five year on Christmas Eve waiting for Santa, having been watching my followers to see them tic over to 100. Welcome aboard, I've been waiting for you. That's a good idea. I will get try get to it soon to it to modify that. I know from experience many teachers don't have access to color printers, so I guess I had a brain freeze. I'll let you know when I upload a revision and you should be able to access it with no additional cost. In the meantime writing in the numbers should be an easy fix. Great resource for kids that struggle with feelings. My next thought is what about my child with autism that loooooooves the color red. I would like to use this with him but may have to switch up the colors. Thank you for sharing this!!!

I saw your posting on the Sellers Forum page of Teachers Pay Teachers; so, I thought I would look at your freebie. Your free item is excellent, and I don't give that complement very often to a new person.
Here are a couple of suggestions that might help you to better market your products. First, add a second page which is a directions or suggestions page. List several ways you use this product in your classroom. (How do you use this? Etc.) Never assume that a buyer knows how, why, or when to use your product. I noticed you uses the footer to put your name and date of creation but you need to add the copyright symbol on EVERY page as well. You can find that under insert, and to the left will be symbols. Items, especially free ones, have been "stolen" from TPT and posted on other sites to be sold. You have to protect all of your creations. Also, number your pages.
It is important that we see what others are doing; so, feel free to look at any or all of my freebies listed below to gather some ideas. If you care to, a rating or any feedback you might have would be great.

I began teaching more than twenty years ago and have taught special and general education classes, at the elementary and secondary levels. Currently I serve as a special education program specialist in a public school district, providing consultation support to both special and general education teachers of students with special needs. As a consultant I spend much of my time assisting our teachers to implement positive behavior supports within their classrooms in order to meet the needs of all of their students, but particularly those who demonstrate significant social, emotional and behavioral challenges.
