Given a list of frequencies (notes), students calculate the lengths to cut PVC pipes to play a song. They can strike the ends or blow across the pipes.
My physics students love this activity!
This download includes:
*teacher notes
*group paper of instructions (versions with & without my rubric)
*individual paper for calculations
*sample filled in individual paper
*8 Song Sheets (six different songs, but 2 in 2 different keys)
*cheat sheet of pipe length for each note
You need to provide about 5 ft of 1 inch PVC pipe and a hack saw for each group.

Subject Area:
I teach Conceptual, Academic, Honors, and AP Physics, but I have a lot of other products in my store since I am always helping other teachers.
