This mini unit is a great way to introduce the ai/ay vowel pairs while reviewing a_e. It contains an original poem that features ay words and an original reader's theater script that features words with the long a sound. This fantastic unit also has a word sort, scrambled sentences, a word work game and an ai/ay/a_e uno game to be used in centers! This thematic unit helps students succeed in reading and decoding words with sounds for long a through fun, engaging activities. Enjoy!
