This is a printable card game for a group of up to six players.
This game will help revise the digraphs - ch, sh, th and wh.
Students will help our friends from outer space get back home! Reading each planet card gets our friends one step closer to home, a spaceship card makes them move a little faster!
This file features a teaching tips page, a detailed instruction sheet, six different Space Race game boards, thirty two word cards and four spaceship cards.
You will need four counters for each player to play this game.
The students enjoyed these games and the monsters are so cute!

My kids loved this and I am now making more words to expand their vocab. These diagraph sounds are always a little tricky so any game to practice is a hit with me.

Love your monsters!! The kids will enjoy this activity.
Wow! Fantastic unit. I look forward to implementing it in my Kindergarten classroom very soon! We use Words Their Way and I can't believe how perfect these activities are. Please, please, please create more! :)
We do not have ph included as this is a game for students that are only first being introduced to consonant digraphs - and so we have only used words that have (digraph/consonant/blend - vowel - digraph/consonant/blend) - and there are no words with ph in this pattern. I will update the product description so no one else is confused. please let me know if you would like me to make you a custom version of this game that contains some harder words, I am more than happy to - email me at frogspotblog@hotmail.com
This is a nice simple, quick game to reinforce my introduction of digraphs last week! This will be great for small groups. I only wish there were more words and the digraph "ph" was included with the others.
