Thank you for making this! It's adorable...& so much better than the one I've been using all these years.

A lot of the space-themes out there are either way too hard for primary-aged students or very basic. I think this will challenge my kinder students and help them really learn! Thanks so much for sharing your hard work!

Not necessarily. Many of my units were created prior to adopting the Common Core Standards. However, I always create things that I would use in my classroom and I will be using all of my units this year as well because I think they can align to common core. I hope that helps answer your question ;)

Jodi- In the packet, there are several times it appears the Earth is "earth" (no capital letter). Is this the font or something that you'd be able to change? How I understand it (and how I've been teaching it) is that the Earth should be capitalized since it's the name of a planet, but if I pick up some earth in my hands it is lowercase. If I have this wrong, please let me know. Thank you!

Hi Jodi, I want to purchase your Space Unit and the examples look a little difficult for my kinders. Are there some easier activities in the unit that would work for kindergarten? Also, I was wondering what school you are at? I am from Brazil and I teach in Hendricks County and my daughter teaches at Meridian in Brazil. Your web page looks great also! Thanks, Gayle Sims
Hi. I would say that the lessons would have to be very guided for Kindergarteners. I use these lessons with my first graders towards the end of the year.
I teach at Deming Elementary (1st grade.) Small world :)
I have been a teacher for 10 years. I have taught Art, 1st grade and 3rd grade, but my heart is definitely in 1st. I love to create things that I think will make learning more fun for my students.
