Another great substitute lesson! This item works well as a substitute lesson because after completing the worksheet, students can work in pairs with the accompanying vocabulary lists and quiz each other on the class commands. This word search contains 25 common Spanish class commands plus several clip art images. Students are instructed to complete the word search, write Spanish vocabulary words under each picture and also write the English vocabulary word next to each Spanish word so they get lots of practice with each word. The corresponding vocabulary lists are alphabetized both Spanish to English and English to Spanish.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I'm currently teaching 8th grade Spanish, but have taught all levels of Spanish, from kindergarten to high school at various times in the past 15 years. Every summer I teach Spanish at the local community college to grades k - 3 for the "College for Kids" program and high school students for the Upward Bound program. I have also taught 7th grade World Cultures with a focus on Hmong, Japanese, Arab and Chinese cultures. I have a BA in Spanish and International Relations from Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, IL and an MA in Spanish Language and Culture from the University of Salamanca in Salamanca, Spain.
