Spanish Clothing & Colors Skit / Role Play - This is a 2-person skit between a mom and her daughter who is supposed to get dressed. The mom provides several command form clothing suggestions before the daughter is finally satisfied. The skit includes key phrases such as tener que + infinitive, and grammar constructions such as placement of direct object pronouns. It's short enough for students to memorize in a day or 2 of practice and utilizes useful, everyday language. Students have fun acting out this skit when they present to class! It's also a great activity for a substitute lesson plan.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I'm currently teaching 8th grade Spanish, but have taught all levels of Spanish, from kindergarten to high school at various times in the past 15 years. Every summer I teach Spanish at the local community college to grades k - 3 for the "College for Kids" program and high school students for the Upward Bound program. I have also taught 7th grade World Cultures with a focus on Hmong, Japanese, Arab and Chinese cultures. I have a BA in Spanish and International Relations from Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, IL and an MA in Spanish Language and Culture from the University of Salamanca in Salamanca, Spain.
