This clothing crossword includes 47 vocabulary words and 9 clip art images to identify. The assignment is on 2 pages with one containing the crossword and clip art images and the other containing the clues and 3 English to Spanish sentence translations featuring the verbs llevar and gustar. Students are also instructed to write the Spanish word next to each English clue so each word gets written twice giving students extra practice with the vocabulary.
The number of vocabulary words on this assignment makes it a great activity for a substitute lesson!

This is a great puzzle. There are quite a few words on here that i hadn't included in my ropa list, that I will remember to add for next year, though I had fun watching my students look for the words. So it doubled as a dictionary skills activity!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I'm currently teaching 8th grade Spanish, but have taught all levels of Spanish, from kindergarten to high school at various times in the past 15 years. Every summer I teach Spanish at the local community college to grades k - 3 for the "College for Kids" program and high school students for the Upward Bound program. I have also taught 7th grade World Cultures with a focus on Hmong, Japanese, Arab and Chinese cultures. I have a BA in Spanish and International Relations from Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, IL and an MA in Spanish Language and Culture from the University of Salamanca in Salamanca, Spain.
