Spanish teachers need to make sure that the students understand and have mastered certain basic building blocks of the language before they can say that they have mastered the standards. Too often both the teachers and the students say and think, Whatever, I'll get it later or if I don't, who cares? These mastery tests encourage the students to definitively learn the correct forms of verbs and other basic elements of language learning as they have the opportunity to take and re-take the tests as many times as necessary until the get it perfect. Usually 4-6 such tests are given a year.The tests included here are:
