Students enjoy practicing pronouns forms with this powerpoint activity. It is called "Contra el Reloj." On each screen there are 4 sentences with underlined words. There is a timer set to 45 seconds. Students write the sentence replacing the underlined words with the correct pronoun, either on paper or on a mini white board. When the time is up the sentences disappear and the students stop writing. All of the animation is set to do this, all the teacher has to do is click once to start. After it is done the teacher can click once more and the correct sentences come on the screen. The sample has the timer set to 10 seconds, but the slides in the presentation are set to 45 seconds with four sentences per slide. There are direct and indirect object pronouns in the present tense (some with two verbs), affirmative and negative.

The first few slides were a little difficult for my students, but nevertheless a creative resource & students are always reeled in by having a time limit.

Super fun powerpoint, it was good for the kids to be in a hurry to convert the sentences, it truly was like a game!

Good practice in a fun format. Kids were impressed with the technology of the timer.
I would have liked a few more pronouns, since sometimes it's a tiny bit hard to figure out the meaning of the original sentences.

I have been teaching World Language (French, Spanish, Italian) at the elementary, middle and high school levels for 16 years. I regularly present foreign language teaching methodology workshops at state, regional and national conferences and in teacher preparation programs at various universities. I have spent time volunteering in schools in impoverished areas of Nicaragua and a portion of the money earned through TPT is used to buy school supplies (pencils, paper, books) for students at the Panama School in La Concha, Nicaragua.
