This unit guides students through the writing of five personal paragraphs focusing on the Preterite and the Imperfect Verb Tenses. There are guidelines for peer editing, self-editing, tense distinction and a rubric for grading the final copy of the writing assignment. There are twenty pages total and a table of contents to help students stay organized during the writing process. The teacher can photocopy all 20 pages at once for the student or each section can be given out individually.

I have been teaching World Language (French, Spanish, Italian) at the elementary, middle and high school levels for 16 years. I regularly present foreign language teaching methodology workshops at state, regional and national conferences and in teacher preparation programs at various universities. I have spent time volunteering in schools in impoverished areas of Nicaragua and a portion of the money earned through TPT is used to buy school supplies (pencils, paper, books) for students at the Panama School in La Concha, Nicaragua.
