This center provides students with practice identifying
commonly misspelled words.
Often, they can easily pick out the incorrect word, but then find
it a bit challenging to spell it correctly.
Students are drawn to the colorful images and suddenly a
mundane task like spelling practice becomes a bit more fun.
Words were chosen from a combination of grades 1-4 Dolch
words and commonly misspelled words for children.
Complete download includes 40 activity cards, direction tent for
students, student recording sheet and answer key for easy
grading for student self-correcting.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've been teaching for 17 years. I started out as a 5th grade drop-out prevention teacher and I am currently teaching 2nd grade gifted students. In between, I also taught 3rd and 4th grade, was the Drop-out prevention resource specialist, and taught writing as a special. I value each of my different experiences so much because they have really given me a unique perspective of the needs of so many different teachers and students.
