Similar to my original Spelling Latitude and Longitude Battleship game but using Coordinates. The game is simpler in nature and can be played from grades 1-5. There are two "How to Play" sheets. One is much more simple in language and provides a visual. This would be a better option for grades 1-2 or for struggling or special ed in higher grades.
Students write their spelling words into the boxes of their spelling board. Then, just like in the board game, they guess coordinates. If a spelling words falls into that box, the player will call out the letter in that box and the guessing player writes it into their opponent's spelling board. Once an entire word has been discovered, they write the words on the T-chart of "Words Blown Out of the Water." First to find all of their opponent's spelling words wins!

This is my 7th year teaching the 5th grade. I have been lucky enough to work in the most amazing campus. I teach reading in a departmentalized campus in the upper elementary grades and I am enjoying it! Reading is a passion of mine!
