This document contains four nights of spelling homework for week 2 of Reading Street (the story Exploring Space). The homework pages each have the list of spelling words at the top, along with cute coordinating clip art. Then, each page has a different activity, including writing the words 3 times each, putting them in ABC order, sorting them according to long vowel sounds, and spelling aerobics (the students act out their spelling words, spelling each word out loud. As they say each letter, they put their arms up in the air if it is a tall letter like t or b, clap if it is a middle letter like a or e, and touch their toes if it is a low letter like g or p. Their parents or caretaker sign the homework page to show they've done it).

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have taught both second and third grades, with the majority of my experience being in second. I have also had long term sub positions in first and fourth grades. Before I began teaching full time, I taught 3- and 4-year-old preschool classes at a private daycare center. I am also a mother of two children under 3, and I enjoy coming up with baby and toddler activities for us to do at home!
