This 28 slide PowerPoint is a practice multiple choice spelling test of commonly misspelled words. There are 25 questions. Students should try to answer the questions by recognizing which is the correctly spelled word to place in the sentence, similar to the format of spelling questions on standardized tests. Then they can check there answers with the answer key on the last slide. This can help students self-assess their skills.

I have a total of 20 years teaching experience. After I received my M.Ed. from the University of Florida, I began teaching in elementary school, where I taught pull-out remedial classes for grades 2-5. Then I taught Pre-K for 5 years, before I decided to go up to Middle School, where I have been in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. I am currently teaching 7th grade. I am certified in Elementary Education as well as in Middle Grades in the areas of Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies. I am certified as a Teacher Support Specialist. I have an endorsement in Reading K-12, and I also completed my Gifted and Talented Endorsement.
