You get 35 spelling rules cards (4 to a page), spelling rules programming log and spelling rules awards in color and black and white.
Also includes a teaching guide page with ideas for implementation.
The spelling rules will be an asset to your student's spelling acquisition, your classroom and programme.
Each rule has a heading, a rule and an example. As well as a bee and star image which are both usually associated with spelling. Each card/poster has a blue border.
Here is an example of one rule:
Adding ies to Make a Plural
Add ies to words ending in y
when it follows a consonant
for example, party - parties.
Display your spelling cards in the classroom gradually as your class learns them, adding to the wall as you go. Use the cards as a pocket set for small group work.
Home school or tutoring teachers may also be interested in this practical resource. The teaching page (included in the file), will give you some more practical ideas.
The programming/check list page lists each of the 35 rules as well as columns for you to plan the term and week and evaluation. Essentially, this is an overview page of what and when you will teach these specific skills.
A printable award is also included for you to print off in either color or black and white.

The Wunderful Homeschool (TpT Seller)
These are great. They cover all the basic rules. The only problem is, they are too creative for my little ones. They use a nice font that makes it hard to read all the words. But it is all color coded to help the students identify what the rule is talking about.

Great resource! Is there a full page version you could possibly email me or directions to do so? I would like a larger version to post so that the kids can read the rules from their desk when they need a reminder. It's also a great resource to print on smaller cards and "ring" so that students have their own version to take home when needed.

I liked the posters, however it didn't have the one rule I was really wanting. I'm trying to teach my son when to use c or k at the beginning of a word. The curriculum I have says that c at the beginning or a word makes an /s/ sound if followed by an e, i, or y. My son needs a reminder that kept is spelled with a k not a c.

I am so sorry that you are disappointed, this is never my intention. :( I have never had anyone else say that they were unhappy with the catalogue. Most people comment that they like it. I thought that providing it in black and white and also color was a good option. I will revise this resource and omit the catalogue. Please note, that eight of the seventeen pages are not taken up with our catalogue. This item has 17 pages of resources and an additional 8 pages of the catalogue plus copyright and graphics info. I will be uploading the new version from September 1st, 2012 without the catalogue! Thanks for letting me know your stance on adding advertising to a product and I have taken it in to consideration by revising the product.
