Spelling Strategy Posters - PDF file

18 full page strategy posters. Please download the preview file for a sample of your file.
Pint and laminate your posters to display in your classroom. Print two to a page to make smaller posters. Alternatively, print four posters to a page to make flash cards of pocket cards using a round binder clip to hold them together.
Introduce the strategy cards gradually, focusing on one or two strategies at a time for a few weeks, or until everyone is developing and strengthening that skill(s).
I have used these strategy cards from grade one and up. They are aimed to suit students 6 to 11 years-old.
Place the chosen strategy on your classroom focus board or spelling area. Model how to use the strategy in concrete situations such as joint sentence writing. Give time for students to practice the strategies both with and also without help.
