This packet includes 5 original fluency passages. Each passage includes Power Words (vocabulary), comprehension and phonics work along with a home connection component. Each passage also includes a seperate page of language arts skills. These passages are fantastic to supplement any reading program. They can be used in a whole group setting or for independent work. **THIS IS WEEK 1 OF THE OCTOBER FLUENCY PACKET** (If you have purchased the October packet, you do NOT need this.)
Thanks! I wish I had time to make things myself, but this is so much easier. :-)

These will be useful for some of my higher readers who can do this reading on their own at this time of the year. I will use the poems with the whole class.

Are you working on a Common Core Language Arts Assessments packet? Our 1st grade teachers have your packets for both Language Arts and Math and love them. A packet for 2nd grade would be a great help for our new CCSS based report card.
I really hope to get it done sooner than later. It will be done eventually but I just haven't found the time yet. Sorry.

Hi, I saw one of your packets on pinterest and was interested in it, but I can't find it. It was "Oh the Places You'll Go!" packet from Dr. Seuss. Is that available? Thanks so much, Cindy
I'm sorry. It's not available because of copyright issues with ALL Dr. Seuss clipart. The Dr. Seuss franchise has required that no Dr. Seuss clip art can be used for free or sold materials. It was very depressing news for many teachers because we were just trying to do something good. Anyways, I apologize, but if anything ever changes, it will be available again.
I have been a teacher for 10 years. I have taught Art, 1st grade and 3rd grade, but my heart is definitely in 1st. I love to create things that I think will make learning more fun for my students.
