Sportsmanship: Good Sports and Poor Sports Choice Cards - Character Education

Sportsmanship is a crucial social skill for students to learn. Included are 30 sportsmanship choice cards to help students learn and understand the difference between positive choices (being a good sport) and negative choices (being a poor sport). There are ideas to help you use the choice cards in the classroom. Also, there are 6 blank cards to write in your own sportsmanship situations that may be beneficial for your students. You can print the cards in color and laminate them if you choose to reuse them.
Understanding sportsmanship can help students make and keep friends and maintain positive relationships with others. TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Subject Area:
I have been a School Social Worker for a total of eleven years. I currently work in a small district in Illinois in two schools which include preK through 5th grade. As I am the only social worker in my two schools (and there is no counselor), I provide counseling and social skills training to all students who need it. I also provide social skills classroom groups for all classes from preK to 5th grade.
