Challenge your math students with these 30 cut and paste math journal prompts. Each page has prompts that are designed to encourage your students to think critically about different math concepts. The journal prompt does not necessarily need to match your current math unit, but rather may work as a refresher to reinforce a skill previously taught. On each page provided there are multiple copies of the same prompt. Simply make as many copies of each page as needed and cut out the prompts into strips for your students to glue into their math journals!
The math concepts included are:
geometry, multiplication, division, measuring, place value, comparing, money, patterns, fractions, odd and even numbers, time, balancing equations, symmetry, calendars, reading thermometers, graphing, and perimeter.
Use these prompts as a way to spark quick conversation during mini-lessons about important math concepts.
