I found your store through the TBTS. This product is fantastic! I like the survey game about potatoes with the graphic images for each. You have incorporated a lot of activities covering a variety of subjects. Kids would have a great time with these. I am your newest follower.

This looks like such a great project! My kids are all into science right now. We just did a great egg experiment so they are begging for a new one and this fits the bill! Thanks for sharing!

Love the activities and the fact that it is "informational" and not all about leprechauns!

I have done activities with potatoes for a few years...but you have some that I didn't think of! Sharing is such a great thing! THANKS!!!
I love sharing and give away a unit at least once a month. I can't give away everything because it costs a lot of money to blog. (Graphics and you have to pay a licenses fee to give away items with graphics in them!) I have another freebie on my blog that ends tonight, so head over there to grab it as well. Thanks for the rating and sweet comment.

thanks for the great idea! Can't wait to start growing potatoes....
Growing potatoes is so fun! It takes a long time, but the potato does change week by week. Last year we planted the big root and let it grow. After a few weeks we left it outside over night and a squirrel dug it up! OH NO! The kids were so sad. I redeemed myself by sending the remaining eyes home with them wishing them better luck growing them.
I am glad to see you think it is extensive. (I was getting a little worried with the ratings because I totally thought this activity was very creative, thorough, and practical.) Teachers love perfection though! hehe
Thanks for commenting and rating this. I hope your students enjoy all the potato fun they will be having this week.

This is a great project. I look forward to trying it out with my class
Haha- If you have the chance to use a potato, I say use it all! The first year I taught, I had to throw away so many. I had to think of something fun to do with them to use it all up. I improved on these activities year after year. Hopefully you will benefit from this work. Have a great week at school.

Great Lesson! I was looking for some St Patrick's Science. Thank you so much!
These activities are so much fun! Esp the food- They LOVE watching it being made and then eating it. So many kids think it is going to be french fries. They also LOVE watching the roots grow in a jar.
You are welcome! Many of these ideas started from my mentor teacher and were adapted and modified my myself. I hope you have a ton of fun with these ideas this week!
