The only suggestion I have is for the fraction section, in 4th grade they only use certain denominators and some of the ones used in the packed don't match the ones they need in 4th grade. Other than that it is great!

I especially loved how I could compare the pre and post assessment to analyze what the students mastered and their areas for growth. Questions are great but the answer key has numerous errors. I found three mistakes on the Measurement and Data section regarding the first two standards alone. I also found errors in the other sections as well. We all make mistakes but I now consider the answer keys to be completely unreliable, which sort of defeats the purpose of an answer key.

I took this on an interview and the administrator loved it. I told him that it was a good way for administrators to see what's going on with each student. It was also a way to keep teachers accountable to the CCSS.

Hello Sydney- I am sorry you found these "too easy", as many of the questions have been a challenge for even some high 4th grade students. The majority of the questions require students to "write to explain their thinking" and I tried very hard to make them higher level questions that tie into the rigor of the common core. I love your stuff, I just got moved from 4th to 6th and I am about to buy the 6th grade data binder. We us Everyday math and I am sure I can come up with the assessment part, but this is the first time I will be teaching it. Do you know if you are going to come out with any 6th grade assessments?

First of all, your assessment packs are amazing! I sent my principal some of your blog links and she is excited too. I have a question about what you include on report cards. Do you include the post assessment only (not the pre-assessment)? Do you include homework grades from the homework packs you made? Do you include classwork as well? Just wondering how you personally use the standards based assessments when it comes to grading.

However due to my error I'm sure; Standards Based Assessment: 4th Grade Math *ALL STANDARDS* {Common Core} I cannot get it to print. I must have pressed a button while downloading or something. Even when I delete the file and down load the file again, I have the same problem. That is why I know it is my fault. Is there some way to for you to send this file to me again, maybe to my e-mail?

Hello! Yes, the pre/post assessments do align with the Common Core standards. I have 10 questions for every individual strand/standard. For example, there are 10 questions for 4.NBT.1, 10 questions for 4.NBT.2, 10 questions for 4.NBT.3, etc. etc. SO if you purchase the bundled assessment product that is 10 questions for every single strand/standard plus teaching notes for each as well. Hi!! I always use the same assessment in order to truly assess the growth and learning that my students have made over the entire math unit. In the past when I used two different assessments, I always felt like I was comparing apples to oranges. Now, by using the same assessments for pre and post, I get amuch clearer image of where my kids are at the beginning of a unit (pre) as well as where they are at the end ( post). I hope this helps!
