This is a standards-based assessment for the 5th grade Common Core Math Numbers and Operations in Base Ten Standards as well as teaching notes that break each standard into 3 levels of learning/understanding.
*This product is to be used with:
5th Grade Common Core Math {Student Data Binder Pack} *ALL STANDARDS*
You will receive:
-One page of teaching notes that breaks down each individual standard into what student's conceptual understanding of the standard should be, procedural understanding of the standard should be and representational understanding of the standard should be.
-Each individual Numbers and Operation in Base Ten standard has a comprehensive assessment of 10 questions.
-The majority of question types are extended response and higher level thinking problems (writing to explain, justifying answers, etc.), but also contain operation problems, word problems, etc.
-Each assessment comes with a cover page for students to document the "I can" statement for each individual standard (5.NBT.1, 5.NBT.2, etc), and a table to document pre and post-assessment scores or percentages.
-Each assessment has a designated spot at the top of the page for the teacher to document a score/percentage for students to easily see, and a spot at the bottom of the page to keep track of incorrect problems for easy grading.

I love the product but as I was correcting my students papers after assigning the 5.NBT.4 assessment I noticed that problem #5 had the number line arranged in the wrong order. The decimals went greatest to least - left to right. oops!

No, one assessment. It would be tough to use an assessment for data purposes if it were two different assessments, in my opinion. Kinda' like comparing apples to oranges?! I ALWAYS use the same assessment for a pre and post in order to accurately show growth and/or my teaching. If you are needing more problems to use for an assessment, check out my homework packets.
