(16 pages) Students construct a 3D model of constellation Orion (or Scorpius, etc.). Materials used include beads, fishing line, cardboard, and fabric paint. This is a very cool project and can be completed individually or cooperatively as per teacher preference. Upon completion, students will have learned a great deal about astronomy: star types, Messier Objects, nebulae, light years, sky coordinates, RA, Declination, et. al.
Also, similar to activities 2 & 3, grids for researching and diagramming the stars of constellation Orion are included.
