This little freebie is just something fun I use in my classroom to highlight our Star of the Week!
At random, I pick a student to be featured as the star for one week. That student brings in a couple pictures of themselves and their family and is also my little helper throughout the week.
Towards the end of the week our class makes the Star a little book to take home about why they are special.
This freebie includes:
- Star of the week book covers (male & female)
- ______ is special pages for classmates to complete
I have been using this all year. Each week my "Star of the Week" gets to be my special helper. On Thursday the students complete a page for that student and we turn it into a book that the Star gets to read Friday. My students and parents LOVE it! Thank you for sharing this us!

My students love this and I do too! The students complete the 'student is special page' for the star student each week. I hang them on a bulletin board for the week, then bind them in a book to take home. They love it! Thank you for making this for us!
Very cute! We have "Terrific Kid of the Week" at our school and this will work perfectly for it! This is a great idea to help make the star student feel extra special!
This is gorgeous! I usually have a 'Star of the Day' but I love the idea of making a special book for the Star, so I think we will swap to 'Star of the Week' and use this set instead! Thanks :)
So cute! I love making special class books with my kiddos! This aligns perfectly with the Character Counts program we use at school. Thanks for sharing :)
Wow! This was so awesome! Thank you so much for making it free. This is my first year teaching and I can really do so many more fun things because of the generious and creative ideas that people like you leave!

I love this! I am so excited to use this in my classroom this year! My first graders will love this! I think that being able to focus on one student like that makes them feel special and will lead to good behavior :)
Just what I was looking for. I did this in Kindergarten 10 years ago and now that I'm teaching again I wanted an updated one and THIS WAS IT! Thank you so MUCH! Love It!
