The idea of the project is great. Well laid out and organized (especially love how detailed the rubrics are). Perfect for students who are learning how to research. However, there are MANY grammatical errors and spelling mistakes. I am extremely embarrassed to have passed this out to my 4th graders and their families. Otherwise, great idea.

This is a great resource for a comprehensive state research project. The rubrics are probably my favorite part. Even though I needed to modify them a little for the specific standards I am evaluating with this project, it was nice to have the wording and criteria available to refer to and the rubrics are organized in a very simple and user friendly way! There were just a few typos in the parent letter and other documents that prevented me from being able to use specific resources as they were written, but otherwise, GREAT PRODUCT!

Hello, thank you so much for the feedback. I am so glad that you were able to use it. I love grading things on a rubric and attempt to make them easy for students and parents to follow and use when creating projects. I am not sure when you actually bought and downloaded this project. I uploaded a revision not to long ago with correction. I will take another look and upload again as soon as I can. So please check back under your "my purchases" tab and download again. Hi there - I LOVE this and can't wait to use it with my 4th grade writing students. Is there a way to get a corrected page - the cover of the research journal says "sate capital" instead of "state capital." I can easily white it out and write it in there, but wasn't sure if you'd be willing to fix it and resend it. Just let me know - thanks!

I recently downloaded this module. There are a couple of spelling errors in it so that is why I gave a B for accuracy. Also, in PDF form I cannot change things specific to my project. I am pretty sure all of your stuff is PDF, but just a suggestion.

Wow! As much editting one can do there always seems to be something over looked. I would have loved the opportunity to fix mistakes before the lower rating. I will go and look again. (If you have time I would love a note in the question/comment area letting me know what spelling mistake you found, I can update this project.) As for the PDF form, that is for copyright purposes. This will be the case with many of the sellers on TpT as they don't want their items taken, changed, and resold. Sorry if that has causes an issue. :( I do hope that you can use this even in PDF and your students create some wonderful projects.

I have 23 years of classroom experience that includes all kinds of students and situtations; resource to Gifted & Talented; self-contained to departmentalized; 1st grade to 8th grade; urban to rural; Bi-lingual; low econ; and more. This year I will be undergoing a new challenge, I will be teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade in an ALE school. I am excited about this as it will utilize many of my skills and I will be working with some pretty amazing kids.
