Concepts covered: Stoichiometry, limiting reactants, balancing equations, moles, molecules, volume of a gas, mass-mass relationships.
This is a set of 2 worksheets. The first worksheet is composed of 10 stoichiometry problems. An example of the type of problem is:
Aluminum sulfate and barium chloride react in a double displacement reaction. How many grams of barium chloride will react with 188 grams of aluminum sulfate?
The second worksheet is composed of 4 problems. Two of the problems are stoichiometry problems and the other two problems involve limited reactants. An example is:
9 grams of aluminum reacts with 8 grams of sulfur to produce aluminum sulfide. Which reactant is the limiting reactant? What mass of aluminum sulfide will be produced? Which reactant will be in excess and by how much?
Chemistry students require a great deal of practice on these types of problems. I have used these worksheets as homework problems, as classwork, and as a quiz.
All answers are included.
You will receive both an editable Word document as well as a pdf of each worksheet.
