Fun and creative way for students to create a story map for Pat Hutchins' book Rosie's Walk. At the start of the lesson, students will be re-enacting Rosie's walk, around the classroom, in order to get them familiar with story mapping. This lesson will also help students realize that the illustrations of a story are also important forms of communication.
Included with the lesson are additional ideas and a list of other similar books.
I tried to contact you through the "Ask a question" tab but no response. I did not receive the story map when I downloading. We are finished with this story, so unfortunately, in my opinion it was not worth the money!
I am sorry that you do not feel this activity is not worth the money. I know my students have had a lot of fun with this activity. In my "Ask a Question" tab there are no questions from you. I always answer any questions I am asked but cannot answer them if they are not there. As for receiving a story map, as the lesson instructions clearly state, students create the pictures for the story map not me. I hope that you will get some use out of this lesson in the future.
