Spice up your story mapping with theme based graphic organizers. Can be used as a response with ANY novel study and/or picture book. (There's even a map for non-fiction books) Key skills include character, setting, plot, summary, problem/solution, alternate title, opinion, sequencing, author's purpose, and cause/effect. Can also be used in centers, independent work, cooperative grouping, or whole group instruction. Great way to practice those reading concepts! Themes include: Space, Outdoors, Pirates, and a generic one for non-fiction genre.
