This is a substitute lesson plans unit that is used with the story "Click, Clack, Moo Cows That Type" by Doreen Cronin. These activities can be copied and put in a folder for a substitute to use for the whole day with this one book. There are seven activities to last through the day while still doing your daily activities.
This can also be used by a teacher as a mini unit that can be done over several days.
*Vocabulary review lesson- discuss words from the story that might be new to students with word and definition flash cards.
*Sequencing activity- after reading the story students cut out sentences and glue them in the correct order on another page.
*Writing activity - students write about who will be the next farm animal to get the typewriter and what will be demanded from Farmer Brown.
*ABC order worksheet- put words from the story in alphabetical order.
* Odd and even numbers lesson- decide if a number is odd or even.
* Cow craft- make a cow using construction paper
* Graphing activity- graph the students' favorite farm animal and answer questions about the graph. I have Click Clack Moo Graphing Activity
as a freebie in my store.
I also have another substitute lesson plan called Substitute Lesson Plans using "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs"
I hope you enjoy this unit!
