This is a 12 page fun activity to help students practice subtracting fractions with unlike denominators and then simplifying the answer. This scavenger hunt gets them up out of their seats and talking about math! No more groans when its time to work on fractions!
There is really nothing you need to do other than print and post the pages and make copies of the recording sheet!
This is an adaptation of a similar scavenger hunt by Robert Duncan on TPT. This file is geared toward upper elementary students who are beginning to work with fractions.
A classmate and I used this in a co-taught lesson we did in our field experience classroom, and loved it! I'm excited to eventually use it in my own classroom!

I used this subtraction scavenger hunt this week during a couple of summer tutoring sessions. The kids loved the activity and I hope to use this again in the future!
