These activities can easily be used to introduce the unit of subtraction, to practice the concept, and to assess understanding. The materials have been designed to be used with both large group instruction and for independent work. With activities that support subtraction facts within five and subtraction facts within ten it will be easy to differentiate the lessons. These activities can be used throughout the year but do have somewhat of a March theme to them.
