Introduce, practice, and/or review subtraction concepts with this packet of worksheets.
The subtraction materials in this packet progress from worksheets that provide support for young mathematicians to worksheets that challenge students to independently solve problems. The four different levels or approaches include the following:
Subtraction with pictures; students trace the numbers, then write the answer.
Subtraction with pictures; students write and trace the numbers.
Subtraction with counters and a 10-frame; students write answers.
Subtraction equations; students figure out subtraction problems independently.
Six worksheets are included for each approach. The problems in each set progress from easier to more challenging problems. Each set includes practice with numbers between zero and ten.
The subtraction worksheets are designed to help meet the Common Core objectives for kindergarten in the area of Operations and Algebraic Thinking. Choose the set that best meets the needs of your students or work through the entire series of worksheets.
Complete the subtraction worksheets in a whole or small group setting or use them for independent practice. If preferred, send the worksheets home as homework assignments.

Thanks for the feedback! I made the first 6 pages as an introduction to subtraction, so I used traceable numbers just to keep the focus on subtraction rather than on number formation. When I update I will take your suggestion into account.
