This is a fun game to help students memorize their multiplication facts, which should be mastered in 3rd grade. Each time a student answers a multiplication fact, they turn over as many buckets as they want. The buckets have points on them. They get to keep all points they earn. However, if they get a 0 they lose all points including from previous rounds! Game ends when time is up or when children score a predetermined amount of points. Cards are cover facts from 0 to 12, even though common core just goes to 9. Common Core Standard: 3.OA.7 Multiply and divide within 100.
7. Fluently multiply and divide within 100, using strategies such as the relationship between multiplication and division (e.g., knowing that 8 � 5 = 40, one knows 40 ÷ 5 = 8) or properties of operations. By the end of Grade 3, know from memory all products of two one-digit numbers.

I am so excited to hear that. I don't know why I keep getting dinged on this game in certain categories, especially accuracy and creativity. There's not a game out there like it and whatever is wrong with it accuracy wise please let me know as I very much want to correct the game! I love this game! It will be a great way for me to see how fluent my students are coming in to fourth grade! Assessment for me - fun for them! I wish the buckets were slightly bigger just for ease of keeping track.

I am so happy to hear that! Thank you so much for the feedback and suggestion. I made them small because they are supposed to be reused and mixed up after each turn. The children should count up the points in the bucket and write it down on a piece of paper and them mix them back up! Then it's easier to keep track. Love the idea to use it as an assessment.

I have taught 3 years in Kindergarten and 5 years in 2nd grade. I am currently substituting in all Elementary Grades K-6 and activity classes. I completed a month like sub job in a 3rd/4th grade combined. I also did a short term in 5th grade. It was nice to have independent children!
