Summer is almost here! This pack has five center activities plus two extra worksheets/early finisher activities.
Here is what is included:
{1} Base Ten Block Cards & Recording Sheet: This center has 20 cards for students to count the base ten blocks. A recording sheet is also available for students to write their answers for each card.
{2} Ordering numbers from least to greatest: There are 4 set of cards in the center (8 cards per set). Students order the numbers in order from least to greatest then write the numbers on the provided sheet.
** We will also mix all the cards up in my classroom and play the game "battle" after we have done this center activity.
{3} Sentence and Picture Matching: My first graders love these! There are 16 pictures and 16 sentences to match. The sentences are descriptive sentences that tell about the picture. This is a great independent activity but also is a great review of adjectives! There are two follow-up sheets included. Students color the picture on the paper then write a descriptive sentence about their picture. There is a girl and boy version of the paper.
{4} Adding 1, 10 and 100 to a number: Students pick a card, go to the recording sheet and write their number. Then they add 1, 10 and 100 to that number. There are 12 cards in all and the recording sheet is included.
{5} Make a 4 digit number: Students read the sentences on the cards and make the number that it says.
For example: 3 in the hundred's place, 8 in the ten's place, 2 in the thousand's place and 6 in the one's place makes: 2,386.
A recording sheet is included for students to write their numbers.
{7} Summer Word Search: Students find the summer words in the word search box.
{8} Color the Picture: Students have to read and follow the directions to correctly color the summer picture.
