Who doesn't like the refreshing summertime treat of lemonade? This is a literacy and math unit centered around the summertime theme of lemonade. It is designed for Kindergarten and First Grades and would be a perfect summer school or end of the year unit. In this unit, students read poetry from Rebecca Kai Dotlich's book "Lemonade Sun and Other Summer Poems." The unit is designed to guide teachers through various circle time or whole group activities as well as provide center activities for students to complete independently.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Subject Area:
I have been teaching elementary school for the past 10 years. I have taught 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades. This fall, I will be moving down to first grade and have been busy making lots of items for first grade as well as transferring my units from 3rd grade onto TPT. Look for many units to come!
