I designed this lesson to be taught over the course of one day. Students will measure their shadows once in the morning, once in the middle of the day, and once in the afternoon. They will record their measurements and the direction of the shadow for each time. This activity can be repeated during each season. I have attached additional recording sheets with student directions should you wish to do this.

Exploring Elementary (TpT Seller)
Thank You! Thank you for this activity. My kids had so much fun with it! I had so much fun with it. I did take the worksheet and change it up a bit, providing bigger spaces for writing, as in third grade we will have that HUGE RANGE of writing sizes.

That's a good idea to make some of the spaces bigger. I have moved up a grade level, but if I moved back I would definitely have to adjust this.
