This is an Out-of-This-World game that is perfect for motivating your little ones to practice reading kindergarten level word wall words!
In this game - kids choose a "Star Wars-like" character. By reading word wall words, kids will earn "stars". The player with the most stars at the end - WINS! But beware of the BLACK HOLE!.
I am in love with this game and it contains the ultra-cute Thistle Girl Designs graphics.....
I hope you and your little ones enjoy :0) all I ask is to leave me feedback :0)
I am currently taking a class for my Master's and am using your activity to support one of the class assignments! Thank you for posting this and allowing me to use it!

Great game to get the students interested in spelling words and make it fun for them to learn.
Hi, I like your materials very much but you only mentioned the purpose of the game, not HOW to play the game. Please help! Thanks.

Played it with my sons who are in kindergarted and they really enjoyed it. One son had to spell the word to get his stars. I can' wait to try it with my self contained first and second grade students.

Okay, I don't mean to be dense... but how come I don't understand how to play this game? Each kid has a character.. are the star words face down and they have to turn them over like a memory game? How exactly does it work? It is adorable and I know it would be a hit if I could figure out how to use it!

I love this game. My kids will too. I only wish there were some blank one on which I could put words from their stories etc.

When I try to print this wonderful game, my Adobe Reader has a pop-up that says to enter a "Output File Name" then to click OK. I have entered anything from the actual name of the product to my name to a generic label for my purposes. It loads all the way up to the halfway mark of the 18th page, then stops. I've restarted my computer, refreshed and nothing cures the problem. I hope to be able to print this game eventually because it's a perfect center for my kiddos!
Thank you for your help :o)

Hmmmm... not sure what the problem is. I just downloaded it myself. I can try to email it directly to you (I do know TpT is having some glitches this morning).....Leave me your email and I'll see if that helps :)

It is probably just me but, I am a little unclear about how to play your "Star Wars Words" game. Is it a card game, where they draw a card from a pile, or am I supposed to scatter the cards around the room? I'm just not sure how they are supposed to "gather" the most cards? I am homeschooling my two boys who are huge Star Wars fans, so we are very excited to play this game. Thanks!!
No problem at all! Each player chooses a character card to be. The word card go in a pile in the middle of the playing area. Kids take turns choosing a card and reading it - if correctly that add a "star" (gold lima bean or other manipulative you want to use). If you choose a BLACK HOLE card - you lose all yours "stars". The player that collected the most "stars" at the end wins!
I hope that makes more sense....:0)

omg! this is great! Can you change the words to Grade 2 word wall words? I know my Grade 2s would love this game!. I will use the grade 1 game you have here for review but I would love if you can manage it, a grade 2 game--I'd pay you!
Can you send me a list of your words? I'll be happy!

Can I have more specific directions on how to use this game (Super Star Words - Star Wars)? How do the kids get the stars or the black holes? Thank you for your help!
The cards with the words they read either had a star or a black hole. Either way they read the word. If the word has a star and they read the word correctly - they get a star (spray-painted lima bean). If the card has a black hole they lose all the "stars" (lima beans) they had.. They have to start over. I hope this helps.
