This popsicle, ice cream set is all you need to start up word work! There are games and activity ideas. The cards can be used in centers or pocket charts. All you need to do is print, laminate and cut the cards. The word sets included: cvc words, silent e, vowel patterns, r-controlled vowels and consonant digraph words. I am excited to have this ready for tier reading next year. I hope you enjoy this set as well! Included in this set are 5 word mats, one for each deck of cards! You can partner students up and hand them the legal size mats.

My students played this game today for the first time, and they loved it. The ice cream theme just added to the excitement!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I am a 2nd grade teacher in Kansas. I spend my time teaching, blogging, creating lessons and coaching middle school volleyball. This is my 9th year of teaching! More than anything, I love teaching 2nd grade and making things for my classroom! I started in grades 3 and 1/2 combo.
