Go under the sea with suffixes!
This updated 25+ page unit covers three different suffixes: -ous, -ful and -less. I've included a poem with 2 related activities, 3 student workpages/foldables, a partner game with a recording sheet and a posters for each suffix. I've also added a quiz at the end you can use to assess their understanding of the 3 suffixes. Your students will love these activities!
Common Core Standards Correlations:
Second Grade:
LA.2.ELACC2RF3.d - Decode words with common prefixes and suffixes.
Third Grade:
LA.3.ELACC3RF3.a - Identify and know the meaning of the most common prefixes and derivational suffixes.
LA.3.ELACC3RF3.b - Decode words with common Latin suffixes.
LA.3.ELACC3L2.e - Use conventional spelling for high-frequency and other studied words and for adding suffixes to base words
