This is a series of animated PowerPoint presentations designed to teach students how to solve systems of equations.
The 5 main topics covered are:
Finding solutions by Graphing
Finding equations from word problems
The Substitution Method
The Elimination Method
More Elimination (with multiplication)
Each presentation includes a warm-up and they are all 10-15 or so slides long.
Two scavenger hunt activities are included that can be used for practice or review with systems of equations.
Also included is a presentation notes file that I typed up to help explain my thoughts behind the slides in the different presentations.
I created these for use in my own class and they seemed quite successful for me this year so I thought others might find them useful. Either that or I just got a good group of kids this year. :)
These are really nice looking powerpoint notes. It's very helpful to have something with all the steps worked out to give to absent students. Thank you!
You didn't throw your money away, I'll see what I can do to help. The file you downloaded is a compressed (zipped) folder. The unit you made has 7 powerpoints and a .doc file in it and TpT only lets me upload 1 file, so I had to put them all into one package.
Try saving the SystemsofEquationsunit.zip file to your computer and double clicking to open it. If you're using Windows then you should just be able to open it up and you'll see a folder that has all the powerpoints inside it.
If that doesn't work, then if you give me your email address I can email you all the files that are in the unit separately.
Sorry for the frustration. :(

This is full of errors. Do you have a corrected version? It is frustrating to pay for something that is not correct.
Yikes! I apologize for that and I completely understand your frustration. It looks like the day 1 file I uploaded was one of my backups and not the final version. I'm going to finish checking the other days again, but so far day 1 is the only one that I've found any problems with. I'll re-upload the whole unit and put in the correct day 1 file this time.
*edit* I re-uploaded the unit with the correct day 1 file. Fortunately that was the only one that appeared to have any problems. My break is almost over so I'll take another look after all my students are gone at the end of the day, but all of the other days had the correct version in the old unit I uploaded so I don't think there should be any problems. But please let me know if anything else comes up!
