Develop and implement lesson plans according to students diverse needs. Incorporate unique teaching strategies, formal and informal assessment methods, and facilitate all different learning styles. Collaborate with general and special education staff to create a positive and nurturing environment, where each child feels safe, special, adequately challenged, and receives an enriching education. THE NEWGRANGE SCHOOL HAMILTON, NJ 7/2003 to 12/2003 Language Arts Specialist Utilized multisensory techniques and offered one-on-one support to meet each child's Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Focused on the Orton-Gillingham method and incorporated the Wilson Reading System and Project Read, improving literacy skills and instilling a love of literacy in all students. SAYREVILLE PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT SAYREVILE, NJ 12/2001 to 6/2003 Special Education Resource Room Teacher (9/2002 to 6/2003) Special Education Leave Replacement Teacher (12/2001 to 6/2002) Collaborated with colleagues and support staff to fulfill students' social and academic goals.
