This is especially great for Middle School and Elementary School Spanish classes. Teach students the words: "Hace frio, nieva, and dice" using a Total Physical Response and Storytelling approach. First, introduce the words in the PowerPoint and create a corresponding motion for these words. Once they have internalized this vocabulary, move on to the Mad-Libs style story. Children LOVE to create the story and volunteer information to make the story humorous. This is an excellent way for students to really establish meaning with the vocabulary and internalize it. Afterwards, go through the PowerPoint again and have the students act out the story that they have created-a great assessment of student comprehension.

Help
I teach Kindergarten-4th grade Elementary Spanish and have a great time teaching these children a second language at such a young age. It is difficult to come by age-appropriate materials when it comes to teaching children this young, and I have created the majority of resources I use. I have also had experience teaching Middle School Spanish and some High School Spanish.
