With the implementation of the Common Core State Standards, I have been busy making sure I teach each part of the core. I have compiled all of my lessons that I use as mini-lessons to either introduce {whole-group} or reinforce {small-group} that align with the CCSS. Hopefully this will help you get a grip on the Reading Literature part of the CCSS {ELA}. Please know that I will be making more of these lessons to go with the rest of the ELA Common Core. Enjoy!
Comes in color and black/white!

LOVE the Common Core/Activity outline at the beginning for a quick overview of how each activity fits with which standard!!! (Efficiency is everything for me in my crazy world of teaching.) ....AND how the standards continue to be listed in each activity THROUGHOUT the unit!

Are you still planning on putting together packets like this for the rest of Ela or math?
I'm not selling full lesson plans, but yes there are instructions for each of the graphic organizers for mini-lessons {if that makes sense}. :) Hope this helps!

Will you make a 2nd grade set? I would be interested.
This unit looks wonderful! I've never heard of the 5 senses of a story. Would you please explain that to me? I have included my email, if that's easier.
Thanks!!!
