When teaching about the different genre with the primary child Tall Tales are always so much fun. In this mini unit the children will meet Pecos Bill, John Henry and Paul Bunyan.

I used this with Houghton Mifflin first grade reading Theme 8 week 3. The kids loved Paul Bunyan even more than Johnny Appleseed and begged me to do more tall tales next week so will use the rest of the packet soon! GREAT job:)

Hi. I love your unit. My students are having a great time learning about tall tales. I wanted to let you know that there are some errors on the Paul Bunyan story. The last name is spelled wrong on the title page of the mini book and there is a sentence that says the ox was named Blue not Babe. Thanks for your hard work.
