Tally Marks {a mini unit}
Tally Marks are a great way for students to show their answers. With the Common Core we are encouraging students to show their answers in multiple ways: numeral, number word, picture, number line, number sentence & tally marks!!
This mini unit will supply you with what you need to introduce this concept to your students.
Inside the Packet:
Classroom Posters 0-10 {3 polka dot colors} - display numeral & matching tally mark(s)
Match up cards : student & teacher set
Practice Sheets: 5 versions
*I understand we have different ideas on the tally being slanted or horizontal for the number 5- so I have placed it both ways in the packet! :)

Another great and useful product. My only suggestion involves the font. I know it looks good, but some letters, for example, the 'u' in "Tally it Up" aren't that clear for kids just learning to recognize letters. It's a small detail, but if my kids are looking at a word they should be able to read (such as 'up') I want them to recognize it without confusion. But overall, your work is excellent!
