This 2-page handout asks students to compare Shakespeare's classic, Tmaing of the Shrew, with its modern teen incarnation, 10 Things I Hate About You. It asks previewing questions about issues such as comparing today's teen audience to Shakespeare's "groundlings". It then has students keep a comparison/contrast chart during viewing. It then finishes with some questions to lead to discussion of Shakespeare's lasting importance and impression.
