You have to be brave to turn your class over to someone...especially when they're your students! This activity is one of my favorites! Allow your students to be the teacher for 10-15 minutes and re teach your students a lesson. I assign it as a 50 point homework project (rubric included), so they put a lot of effort into it. They choose a topic from the list, get it approved by you (so students are selecting different skills) and write a lesson plan (attached). They can get quite creative with ways to instruct the class. This is an excellent, and FUN way to review some skills! Helpful hint: I assign one subject now (Language Arts) and another one (Math) closer to state testing. You might just find you have some future teachers in your class! Would love some feedback on this free product! THANKS SO MUCH! :-) Freebie offered under Scrappin Doodle license #TPT44494
Thank you for sharing that. Glad it'll make it easier! Appreciative of the feedback! Have a great year!

What a great idea! I can see this working with my gifted/talented and in class support students. I love the planning guide you provided for them to use. Thanks!
Yeah, this one is fun. I like to do it twice a year. My students are such a hoot to watch. Warning: They look/sound like their real teacher when they get up there. lol
I love this idea and your materials make it less scary! I'm going to try it with my 7th grade algebra class when it comes time to review for state testing.
