This game begins with a pie chart showing the culture origins for the English Language. The game then features categories from the top cultures that have contributed to the English language: France, Italy, Germany, Greece, and Japan. Students are given a clue and must guess the correct word. The clues progress in difficulty, and some feature pictures or highlighted letters to help the students.
This is a good activity to introduce students to the influences on the English language. It is also a good game to have on hand for an emergency sub plan.
